We believe that a sustainable and successful technology is the one that actually is not only environmentally friendly but also easily accessible. With this view, we developed a flexible green technology, which produces microalgae while reducing CO2 emissions.
The versatility of our Phytoplant resides in a frame that can be adapted to different surfaces and areas, the endless foil photobioreactors (Phytobags) that can be tailored to precise length, control electronics (Phytocontrol) that facilitates the stabilisation of the optimal growing conditions and a harvesting unit (Phytoharvester) that keeps a desired concentration of the biomass in the Phytoplant, which can be deplyed outdoors without the need of a costly glasshouses.
The Phytoplant is equipped with a temperature control that connects the Phytobags with the waste-heat or cooling system of an industry site (power plant, biogas facility, industry site, domestic cogeneration plant). The circulation of the heat/cool water provides stable conditions for the yearlong production of microalgae at locations with temperatures ranging between -10 and +40 ºC.
